The P.H.T.C. website has been created principally for the benefit of the club members; but non-members are most welcome to browse the site for their own interest.  It is hoped that all visitors to the site will enjoy the sections on the history of the court and of Tennis at Petworth House, and of the Professionals who have worked there since 1900.

The site also contains sections which list the club match results, and other club matters. The site does not contain membership lists and handicaps, nor is court booking available through the site, as it is the intention of the committee that all court bookings are done either in person at the club or by phone through the Professionals’ office.

We have a junior section for which the annual subscription is much reduced, and we encourage the development of new talent with free or subsidised coaching by our high ranking Professionals.

Adults who have not played Tennis previously are invited to have one or two lessons to become acquainted with the game before applying to join. The summer is the best time to do this when the court is more available. You are very welcome to visit the court to meet the Professionals, and they will be pleased to supply you with further details about P.H.T.C.
