Tom came from a lawn tennis background and joined Chris Bray at Petworth in 2000 as a trainee. Under Chris’s tutelage Tom’s tennis has thrived and continues to do so. With the retirement of Chris Bray from Petworth in 2005, Tom’s tennis will continue to improve under Petworth’s new Head Professional Nick Wood.

In 2003 Tom won The Taylor Cup an event for young professionals. Tom’s steady handicap improvement, see above, means that he automatically qualifies for the major events.

Tom continues to grow and mature as a future top player. Last season he was part of the T & RA/Dedanist Academy and is working on improving his handicap. Still looking for that breakthrough in major tournaments, he will be competing around the world in as many events as possible.
